HAS ANYBODY HERE SEEN MY OLD FRIEND TED

I am a proud extra crispy bucket of progressive democrat and I'm sad today. I hope there is another generation of Kennedy's waiting in the wings that will carry on Ted's work.

The universe is a funny thing - I clicked on your site from Olive Rue, to see this post, and heard Colin Hay, and said, "that's my song"!

I should tell you that I am an extra spicy bucket of independent conservative, but was saddened, too, at Sen. Kennedy's passing....posted on the very same topic today. Born and bred of Austin liberals, I remember watching his concession speech at the 1980 Dem convention - knowing even then my politics would be different than my parents - understanding that what is missing in this world is men of conviction. Passion abounds, but conviction, in pursuit of excellence, is a hard thing to find.

So thrilled to have found you, and I cannot wait to shop your store. My girls are jewelry hounds, so we'll be visitin'! Love.

Today is my first visit to your great blog.
President Kennedy was killed when I was about 4 years old. (I actually remember it !) I have often wondered how different our world might be had he lived :( RIP Teddy.
