COMFORT

I'm always wishing I was independently wealthy. I could quit my job, spoil my kids, have more dogs and travel. This morning I was sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast by myself and I had my music playing. It was so peaceful and I was so in the moment and swaying a little to the music. I saw something out of the corner of my eye and it was my son and he was watching me, I just looked at him and smiled and he smiled back and shook his head like I was silly for being so happy. I love moments like that. No amount of money can buy moments like that. I don't know what I did to deserve such happiness. Every night when I go to bed I feel so lucky to have my big comfortable bed to sleep in with it's cold, soft sheets. My best friend and husband (one in the same I should say) is right next to me and the kids are home and safe and I couldn't ask for more. I wish that for everyone. Simmer in those moments and be grateful.
