HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO MY MOM

This is my mother, my brother and me on my grandmother's front porch in Gilbert. You wouldn't guess by looking at this picture that the little girl would grow up to look just like the mother. Mom is about 26 in this picture and I think she looks so pretty. We didn't have much growing up but mom kept us clean and pressed and I mean pressed. She's OCD when is comes to ironing, she still irons her pillow cases and sheets to this day. I thought it was normal until my high school friend made fun of me for ironing my Levi 501's. Mom sews and quilts and travels and is a major part of the Historical Museum in Gilbert. Tomorrow morning she leaves on her cruise up the west coast from San Francisco to Victoria BC them comes home for a week then leaves on a road trip with her girl friends up to four corners, Derango, Telluride, Santa Fe then on to Denver to see my sister. She's been all over the world and plans to take my daughter to France when she graduates. I'm learning French from an old shcool friend who lives in Paris and I'm seeing a shrink for my fear of flying. Hope I can succeed in both. I love you mom and I hope you have a fun cruise.

A literal or symbolic fear of flying? Did you read the book by that name? Lucky of you to have such a lovely mom.
