I'm Amazed !!!

Tuesday night me, my husband and some friends went to see My Morning Jacket. It was at the Marquee in Tempe which is such a great venue even though there is NO seating. We stood the whole time right up front. The only down side to being right up front is the speakers are right up front too. The sound was awesome and deafening. We loved it. It's been so long since I went to a "rock" concert. Lately for me it's been just the folk scene. Nothing has changed and I'm very greatful for that. The smell of patulli and pot wafted through the air even though I could have sworn that there were "no smoking" signs everywhere. (Ha) The people were kind and friendly and just as excited as I was. They played my favorite song "Dondonte" and they didn't disappoint. With sweat running down my back I swayed none stop to the mesmerizing grind of the lead guitar. What a trip. After the concert we walked back over the bridge to Monti's were the night began and my feet were killing me. Both Jeff and I had to get up early and go to work the next morning. But for a brief time Jeff and I got to relive our roaring twenties until the clock struck twelve and we set our alarm and moaned at the fact that we couldn't sleep in, get coffee, go to Zia then Changing Hands then back to our little house for a nap then back to Long Wong's for more live music. Those were the days.
